The city of Elkton, Kentucky is accepting sealed bids for Asphalt Surfacing of South Streets Avenue (CS 1065) from US 68X extending southerly to Sunset Drive and Airport Road (CS 1008) from Sunset Drive extending southerly for a total distance of approximately 4,572 feet.
Specifications and bid form may be picked up at City Hall, 71 Public Square, Elkton, Kentucky during normal business hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or by contacting City Hall at 270-265-9877 or by electronic mail at city_clerk@elktonky.com.
Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided and will be accepted until Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 3:00 PM. Bids will be opened at this time and will be presented to the City Council for review at the following regular or special city council meeting.
Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly labeled with “Asphalt Surfacing Bid” and mailed or hand delivered to City of Elkton, City Hall, PO Box 578, 71 Public Square, Elkton, KY 42220. No facsimile bids will be accepted.
The City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received, where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the city. Contractor must be pre-qualified to do work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, for work to be performed.
