The Annual Todd County Community Martin Luther King JR. Program will be held at Todd County Central High School in the Auditorium in Elkton, Kentucky. Mr. Ron Sydnor, Park Manager at The Jefferson Davis Monument in Fairview, Kentucky will be the guest preacher. There will be music from Church choirs and the announcements of School Coloring and Essay Winners.
This year there is something New! A Banner Contest! The Banner Contest is being sponsored by the Todd County Standard. The Contest is open to all children and youth groups and our community. The Banners will be judges on January 20th, 2013 at 2:00pm at the Todd County Park. If your children or youth group would like to make a banner, please have you banner at the park by 2:00pm.
There will be amarch from the park to the high school. All groups that participate in the Banner contest must march with your banner in the march. The march will begin at 2:30pm. The Todd County Standard will present $100.00 for first place, $75.00 for second place, and $50.00 for third place.
