The City of Elkton, Kentucky is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. As a sworn law enforcement officer, performs general police work in the protection of life and property, enforcement of laws and ordinances, investigation of crimes, etc.; performs related work as required; must have successfully completed required basic training; must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky; must meet the job-related physical and psychological requirements in effect at the time of appointment, and must pass any job-related mental, psychological and/or physical qualifying examinations, including screening tests for illegal drug use and alcohol use is required prior to employment after an offer for employment is made and during employment with the city.
