About the Position<\/strong>: Under the supervision of the City Clerk\/Treasurer, the Utility Clerk provides excellent customer service and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties related to the City’s water, sewer, and garbage services. This position also assists with accounts receivable\/payable, record keeping, and daily office operations.<\/p>\n Key Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n Assisting customers in person, by phone, and by email<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Receiving and processing utility payments<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Maintaining accurate financial and utility records<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Preparing new utility accounts and billing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Balancing cash drawers and preparing deposits<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Filing, scanning, and maintaining city records<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Assisting with reports, correspondence, and office projects<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Supporting cemetery records and other assigned duties<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Minimum Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n High school diploma or equivalent<\/p>\n<\/li>\n One year of related work experience<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Strong customer service, organizational, and computer skills<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Ability to handle money accurately and maintain confidentiality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Advancement Opportunities:<\/strong><\/p>\n Promotion to Utility Clerk I<\/strong> after one year of service<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Opportunity to advance to Utility Clerk, CKMC<\/strong> upon completion of Certified Kentucky Municipal Clerk certification (optional)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Pay Grade<\/strong>: 16<\/p>\n This is a non-exempt position that requires bonding and the ability to work in a busy office environment.<\/p>\n Interested applicants should submit an application to City Hall.<\/p>\n Application for Employment<\/strong> <\/a><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
