Applicants without Class II Water Distribution License begin as Maintenance Worker I position with starting wage of $16.06 per hour. The city also provides other benefits including complete coverage of employee\u2019s health, dental and life insurance. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; color: #000000;\">Employees generally begin as Maintenance Worker I, and may be promoted to Maintenance Worker II after receipt of Class II Water Distribution License. Position performs manual skilled and semi-skilled work of routine and moderate difficulty in the construction, installation, maintenance and\/or cleanliness of the wastewater treatment plant, wastewater collection system, water distribution system, and parks, assists with maintaining and cleaning streets and roads; performs related work as required. Work is physically demanding, involving heavy lifting, shoveling, digging, etc. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Utility\/Streets Superintendent.\u00a0 Applicants must be a high school graduate or have a GED and have and maintain a valid driver\u2019s license.
