SUMMARY:Invitation to Bid Asphalt Surfacing
DESCRIPTION:The city of Elkton\, Kentucky is now accepting sealed bids for Asphalt Surfacing of various city streets in the city of Elkton\, Kentucky. Specifications and bid form may be picked up at City Hall\, 71 Public Square\, Elkton\, Kentucky during normal business hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm\, Monday through Friday\, or by contacting City Hall at 270-265-9877 or by visiting www.elktonky.com. \nContractor must be pre-qualified to do work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky\, Transportation Cabinet\, Department of Highways\, for work to be performed. \nBids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly labeled with “Asphalt Surfacing Bid” and mailed or hand delivered to City of Elkton\, City Hall\, PO Box 578\, 71 Public Square\, Elkton\, KY 42220. No facsimile bids will be accepted. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the specifications and will be accepted until Tuesday\, October 29\, 2019 at 10:00 AM. Bids will be opened at this time and will be presented to the City Council for review at a public meeting. \nThe City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid\, to reject any or all bids\, and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received\, where such acceptance\, rejection\, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the city. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race\, religion\, color\, national origin\, sex\, sexual orientation\, gender identity\, age or disability.
