Christmas in Elkton and Parade will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Elkton, Kentucky.  The day starts off with local businesses having open house, Christmas sales and free refreshments throughout the day.

The Elkton Christmas Parade will start at 6 PM, leaving Todd Central High School parking lot at 806 South Main Street, then going North on Hwy 181 to Public Square, exit square on West Main Street.  Grand Marshall of the parade this year is former Elkton Mayor Evelyn Boone. Once the parade gets to the Milliken Community House on West Main Street, parade participants can go in any direction to return to the high school or home.  This is in an effort to alleviate heavy traffic at the high school when the parade is complete.

Immediately following the parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with children at the Milliken Memorial Community House starting at about 7:00 PM.  Also in the Community House:

  • Free pictures with Santa – digital pictures will be made that will be available for free download at www.elktonky.com a few days after the event.
  • Free refreshments – Sponsored by City of Elkton, Elkton Bank and Trust Co, United Southern Bank, Latham Funeral Home, Marklin Insurance,
    and Walker Automotive.
  • Free Goodie Bags – Sponsored by Knuckles Insurance.

If you are interested in participating in the parade, visit the Christmas Parade Page to download or complete an online application. Or, call the Welcome Center at 270-265-7070 for more information.
