DESCRIPTION:Christmas in Elkton will be celebrated this year on Saturday\, December 11\, 2021. Many local businesses will have open house\, special sales\, refreshments\, and other activities throughout the day followed by a nighttime Christmas Parade starting at 6:00 PM. \nThe parade features lighted floats and entries from local businesses\, schools and churches. Please note traffic will be blocked to Public Square starting around 5:30 PM until all festivities are over. The Grand Marshall of the parade this year will be all Todd County sports teams to celebrate their recent accomplishments. \nFollowing the parade\, Santa Claus will visit the Milliken Memorial Community House located at 208 W Main St where you can get a free digital picture with Santa\, free take home refreshments sponsored by the city and a free goodie bag sponsored by BR Knuckles Insurance. \nIf you would like to participate in the parade\, visit the Christmas Parade Page or call the Welcome Center at 270-265-7070 or email welcomecenter@elktonky.com. \n  \nNote parade route change – Due to a scheduling conflict at Todd Central High School\, the Elkton Christmas parade route has been changed. The parade will still start at 6 pm on Saturday\, December 11th. However\, parade lineup will now start on Industrial Drive at the intersection of West Main Street (beside First Financial Bank.) Parade participants will be placed in the lineup as they arrive. \nThe parade will turn on West Main Street and proceed toward Public Square\, go halfway around Public Square and exit on East Main Street. Once the parade gets to Haley Hardware and Elkton Baptist Church at the intersection of Allen Street the parade participants are dismissed. Please note that parade participants should enter the lineup on Industrial Drive either by way of Elk Fork Road either from West Main Street or Highway 68.
