Christmas in Elkton and Parade Saturday December 14

Visit historic Elkton, Kentucky this year for a down home Christmas celebration. On Saturday, December 14, 2019, the city of Elkton and our local businesses invite you to Elkton, Kentucky to help us celebrate “Christmas in Elkton.”

Join us in the quiet little town of Elkton and visit our unique gift shops, boutiques and local eateries. Many local businesses will have open house, special sales, and other activities throughout the day. Also, be sure to stop in the Welcome Center in the Historic 1835 Courthouse to warm up with free refreshments.

Following a morning of shopping around town, the Elkton Christmas parade will start at 2:00 PM, which leaves Todd County Central High School on South Main Street then heading north towards Public Square, exiting the Square on West Main Street and ending at the Milliken Memorial Community House. The parade features floats and entries from local businesses, schools and churches. Please note traffic will be blocked to Public Square starting around 1:30 PM until all festivities are over.

The Grand Marshalls of the parade this year were selected to honor veterans of World War II currently living in Todd County. Those honorees and their branch of service are Bryan Blount, Army; Carmon Crafton, Navy; Bill Addison, Air Force; and Henry Malone, Navy. The city of Elkton is proud to honor these heroes for their service to our country.

Immediately following the parade at about 3:00 PM, Santa Claus will visit with everyone at the Milliken Memorial Community House located at 208 West Main Street. There will be free digital pictures with Santa Claus and free refreshments until 5:00 PM. Also, sponsor B.R. Knuckles Insurance will be giving away goodie bags!
