La ciudad de Elkton, Kentucky, opera el Programa de rehabilitación de viviendas en sitios dispersos de Elkton a través del Distrito de desarrollo del área de Pennyrile. Applicants must have a gross annual income that does not exceed 80% of the median income for Todd County. {Current median income for Todd County is $45,700 – effective 2010}. Use the following table to see if you are income eligible.

Este programa requiere que tenga ingresos bajos a moderados, que sea propietario y ocupe la estructura como su lugar de residencia principal, que no deba impuestos a la propiedad del condado o de la ciudad, que tenga un seguro de propietario de vivienda vigente (seguro contra inundaciones, si es necesario), que no esté está atrasado en cualquier préstamo federal, está al día con todos los pagos del crédito durante los últimos 6 meses y la estructura tiene violaciones del código o no se puede reparar. Debe tener título legal (de dominio público) sobre la estructura para la cual se solicita la asistencia. Debe residir dentro de los límites de la ciudad de Elkton.

A combination low interest loan and forgivable deferred loan (FDL) will be offered to eligible clients for the repair and/or reconstruction of their homes with major code violations. All applicants will be prioritized by a point systems based on income level, the condition of the home, elderly, disabled, or have children living in the home. Priority will be given to those with the lowest income and are elderly and/or disabled.
The forgivable deferred loan (FDL) is reduced monthly in equal amounts over a five (5) year period. No repayment of the forgivable portion is required if the ownership and occupancy of the property are retained and the property is maintained during the term of the mortgage. A mortgage will secure both the loan and forgivable grant and will be recorded at the Todd County Courthouse.
The City of Elkton will be accepting applications for the Scattered Site Housing Rehabilitation Project from May 1, 2014 until June 15, 2014.
