The city of Elkton will hold a ceremony on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 pm to unveil the re-naming of North Weathers Lane to Mr. Guy Mallory Lane. The street was re-named by the Elkton City Council in honor of Mr. Guy Mallory, a model citizen of Elkton who served his country valiantly in World War II and the Conflict in Korea. Mr. Mallory gave freely to his community, including land donations to the Todd County Senior Citizens Center and Todd County Public Library. Mr. Mallory also retired from the US Postal Service, working in the Post Office in Elkton that sits adjacent to the newly re-named Mr. Guy Mallory Lane. The public is invited to attend the ceremony, which will take place at Mr. Guy Mallory Lane and the intersection of West Main Street in Elkton.
