Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Services
The City of Elkton will accept sealed bids for a contract for the collection, transportation and disposal of solid waste located within the incorporated areas of the City of Elkton, Kentucky. Specifications may be obtained by request to city_clerk@elktonky.com. Sealed bids must be clearly marked as “Solid Waste Collection and Disposal Services Bid” and submitted to City of Elkton, Attn: City Clerk, PO Box 578, Elkton, Kentucky, 42220, or delivered to Elkton City Hall, 71 Public Square, Elkton, Kentucky by 10:00 AM prevailing time, Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Bids will be opened at this time via videoconference meeting with the City Clerk and/or Mayor with all bid plan holders who have requested to attend. Bids will then be reviewed and presented to the Elkton City Council at the next regular or special City Council meeting. Please note the regular or special City Council meeting may be held via videoconference meeting and bid plan holders may be invited to attend the videoconference meeting if requested.
The City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid, or reject any or all bids and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received, where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the City.
