You are invited to participate in the Elkton 5K Sunset Run/Walk on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 6 p.m. held at the Milliken Community House in Elkton. It’s a great family event with runners and walkers participating from all over Todd County and the surrounding area. All proceeds benefit Todd County 4-H.
The race is coordinated by Brigetta Bishop. Be sure to turn in your registration form by May 2nd to get the early bird registration rate of $20.00. You may also e-mail your registration to lmccuist@uky.edu or to bbishop@1973@att.net. Registration fees will go up to $25.00 after May 2nd and can be paid up to race day. Please make checks payable to Elkton 5K.
So, motivate your co-workers, your family and friends to run/walk with you, sign up early and be a part of this exciting fund raiser that will support 4-H and get you in great shape! Remember, if you sign up to be a walker – you can only walk (no running). However –if you sign up to be a runner – you may run and/or walk at your own pace.
*A note to school employees and students…a special plaque will be awarded after the race to the school with the most representation, so be sure to include your school affiliation on your registration form. (must be a school employee and/or student to count)
We hope to see you at the starting line on May 17th. The 4-H teens and volunteers will be there cheering you on and passing out drinks of water along the way!
