Laura Brock, City Clerk/Treasurer, began working with the City part-time in May 1997. Laura was hired full-time in August 1997 and was appointed City Clerk/Treasurer in May 1998. Some duties of the City Clerk/ Treasurer include maintenance and safekeeping of the permanent records of the city; keeping a true and full record of all proceedings of the City Council; prepares and presents financial reports of the City to the City Council; responsible for preparation of property tax bills; oversees all taxes and licenses imposed by the City. Laura received her Certification as a Kentucky Municipal Clerk in 2001. Laura will be retiring from the city effective August 30, 2024.

Tammy Miller, Assistant City Clerk, began working for the City in March 2020. Tammy’s main duties include payroll and collection of occupational license taxes, property taxes and insurance premium taxes. Tammy will begin working toward her Certification as a Kentucky Municipal Clerk in 2020.

Kayce Bright, Assistant City Clerk, began working for the City in November 2022. Kayce’s main duties include billing and collection of utility payments, maintenance of cemetery records, remitting sales and utility tax and works with the Code Enforcement Board. Kayce is working toward achieving Certification as Kentucky Municipal Clerk in July 2023. Kayce will be appointed City Clerk/Treasurer effective August 31, 2024 upon the retirement of Laura Brock.

Rebecca Collins, Assistant City Clerk, began working for the City in July 2024. Rebecca’s main duties include billing and collection of utility payments, maintenance of cemetery records, remitting sales and utility tax and works with the Code Enforcement Board.
