Laura Brock, City Clerk/Treasurer, began working with the City part-time in May 1997. Laura was hired full-time in August 1997 and was appointed City Clerk/Treasurer in May 1998. Some duties of the City Clerk/ Treasurer include maintenance and safekeeping of the permanent records of the city; keeping a true and full record of all proceedings of the City Council; prepares and presents financial reports of the City to the City Council; responsible for preparation of property tax bills; oversees all taxes and licenses imposed by the City. Laura received her Certification as a Kentucky Municipal Clerk in 2001.
Amy Bryant, Assistant City Clerk, began working for the City in October 2013. Amy’s main duties include collection of occupational license taxes, property taxes and insurance premium taxes. Amy also handles payroll for the city and works with the Elkton-Todd County Recreation Commission. Amy received her Certification as a Kentucky Municipal Clerk in 2016.
Yvonne Gibson, Assistant City Clerk, began working for the City in August 2018. Yvonne’s main duties include billing and collection of utility payments, maintenance of cemetery records, remitting sales tax and works with the Code Enforcement Board. Yvonne will begin working toward achieving Certification as Kentucky Municipal Clerk in 2019.
