2024 Service Line Survey

Our team has worked tirelessly to complete a service line survey aimed at ensuring the safety and compliance of our water utilities in Kentucky. This survey plays a crucial role in:

Identifying Lead Service Lines (LSLs): By gathering information about customer-owned service lines, we can effectively locate LSLs—pipes that connect homes to drinking water mains. Since these lines can pose a risk of lead contamination, it’s imperative for water systems to identify and replace them.

Meeting Compliance Goals: The survey also helps our water utilities adhere to the requirements set forth by the Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR), finalized by the US EPA in 2021. This ensures that we are aligned with federal regulations and prioritizing the health of our community.

Thank you to our Public Works team!

Your efforts not only support the safety of our community’s drinking water but also demonstrate the commitment and professionalism of our department.

We truly appreciate your hard work and teamwork on this important initiative!
