The city of Elkton, Kentucky is now accepting sealed bids for Asphalt Surfacing of various city streets in the city of Elkton, Kentucky. Specifications and bid form may be picked up at City Hall, 71 Public Square, Elkton, Kentucky during normal business hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or by contacting City Hall at 270-265-9877 or by visiting www.elktonky.com.
Contractor must be pre-qualified to do work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, for work to be performed.
Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly labeled with “Asphalt Surfacing Bid” and mailed or hand delivered to City of Elkton, City Hall, PO Box 578, 71 Public Square, Elkton, KY 42220. No facsimile or e-mailed bids will be accepted. Bids shall be submitted on the bid form provided in the specifications and will be accepted until Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Bids will be opened at this time and will then be presented to the City Council for review at a public meeting.
The City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received, where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the city.
