The City of Elkton is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant City Clerk.  This position is responsible for assisting the City Clerk/Treasurer in maintaining City records and general office duties.  Some duties include maintaining and balancing cash drawers, posting utility payments, making daily deposits, monthly utility billing, greeting the public, and accounts receivable and payable.  Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by one year related work experience.  Previous experience in utility billing, bookkeeping, payroll, skills in computer spreadsheet, databases, and word processing would be helpful.
