NOTICE OF ZONING HEARING
REGARDING TEXT AMENDMENTS AND REVISIONS TO THE CITY OF ELKTON ZONING ORDINANCE AND ZONING MAP
The Elkton Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 13, 2014 at 7:00 PM in the Elkton City Hall, 71 Public Square, Elkton, KY 42220.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider amendments and revisions to the text of a new and revised Elkton Zoning Ordinance and new and revised Official Zoning Map for the City of Elkton, Kentucky. The proposed revisions to the proposed Draft Zoning Ordinance and Draft Official Zoning Map have been recommended by a sub-committee of the Planning Commission. The proposed Draft Zoning Ordinance has two (2) new Addendums pertaining to Landscape and Land Use Buffering requirements for commercial developments, and Development Plan Approval Guidelines for commercial developments, as well as other proposed zoning text and Zoning Map changes.
Public comments will be welcome at the meeting and written comments will also be accepted prior to the meeting. Please mail any written comments to Ms. Laura Brock at P.O. Box 578, Elkton, KY 42220. A copy of the proposed Draft Zoning Ordinance with Addendums and the Draft Official Zoning Map can be viewed at the Elkton City Hall during normal business hours, or a copy can be viewed on line at http://www.peadd.org/planning
