The Waste Tire Collection Program, established in 1998, is part of the Energy and Environment Cabinet’s (EEC) ongoing effort to rid Kentucky’s landscape of waste tires. During a waste tire collection event, individuals can drop off their unwanted tires at a specific location within their county at no cost.
There will be a Waste Tire Collection event in Elkton, Kentucky held on March 26th and 27th from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM and on Saturday, March 28th from 7:30 AM until Noon at the State Highway Department located at 510 East Main Street, Elkton, KY. No heavy equipment tires will be accepted. Regular farm tires are acceptable. Tires can be with or without rims. This will be the last Waste Tire Collection event and will no longer be held in the future!
