Elkton-Todd County Bicentennial Christmas Parade Going Ahead as Planned

The Elkton-Todd County Bicentennial Christmas Parade is going ahead as planned on Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Elkton, Kentucky. The parade will leave Todd County Central High School on South Main Street at 5 PM and head north towards Public Square, exiting the Square on West Main Street and ending at the intersection of Streets Avenue where floats will disperse. Please note traffic will be blocked to Public Square starting around 4:30 PM until the parade is over.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the parade organizers ask that everyone attending the ceremony observe recommended social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to wear a face covering while attending the event. You are encouraged to watch the parade from your vehicle occupied only by members of the same household. Also, people are being asked to spread out along the route to view the parade and not crowd around Public Square or other popular viewing areas.

Due to safety precautions, there will also not be a city sponsored public event with Santa after the parade. Also, all parade participants are asked not to throw candy from your floats.

If you would like to participate in the parade, please visit Christmas Parade Page to submit your online entry or contact the Welcome Center at welcomecenter@elktonky.com or call 270-265-7070.
