PROCLAMATION
HONORING BRYAN W. BLOUNT
ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 95TH BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, Bryan W. Blount, III, a longtime resident of the city of Elkton, Kentucky, is celebrating his 95th birthday on January 2, 2019, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blount has served his country as a World War II Army veteran and is the recipient of a Purple Heart, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blount served as the Mayor of Elkton from January 1, 1990 to December 31, 1998 and through his many actions has given this community and its residents a higher quality of life, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blount has also served his community by volunteering on various boards and committees, including the Elkton Planning Commission, Todd County Industrial Foundation, Citizens for Academic Excellence in Todd County, Helping Hands Clinic, and Elkton Rotary Club, and
WHEREAS, Mr. Blount’s birthday is being celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Blount Rural Health Center, formerly Helping Hands Clinic, which is now named in his honor.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Arthur Green, Mayor of the City of Elkton, do hereby proclaim January 2-5, 2019 as
