In 2020, the city was under state and federal order to not disconnect utility services or charge late fees to our Elkton Utilities accounts. Effective in January 2021, cut offs for nonpayment resumed if bills were unpaid by the 16th of the month at 9:30 am. Starting in February, the disconnect fee of $50.00 will also resume if you are cut off for nonpayment. Also starting in February, the 10% penalty will also resume and applied if your bill is not paid by the 7th of the month.
