Many local businesses will have open house, special sales, refreshments, and other activities throughout the day. So, come to the quiet little town of Elkton and walk around Historic Public Square and visit our unique gift shops, boutiques and local eateries. Also, be sure to stop in the Welcome Center in the Historic Todd County Courthouse to warm up with free refreshments.

Following your day of shopping, the Elkton Christmas parade will start at 6:00 PM, leaving Todd County Central High School on South Main Street. The parade will then head north towards Public Square, exiting the Square on West Main Street and ending at the Milliken Memorial Community House. The parade features lighted floats and entries from local businesses, schools and churches. Please note traffic will be blocked to Public Square starting around 5:30 PM until all festivities are over.

The Grand Marshall of the parade this year is Elkton resident Harold Ross, a University of Kentucky graduate and member of the 1958 NCAA Championship Basketball Team. Later that same year, he became head basketball coach at Elkton High School. And, in 1963, Mr. Ross became the first head basketball coach at Todd County Central High School, where he later also served as Principal.

Immediately following the parade at about 7 PM, Santa Claus will visit with everyone at the Milliken Memorial Community House located at 208 West Main Street.
