- Pay online using a credit card, debit card, or e-check.
- Pay by phone any time of the day! Elkton Utilities will have a dedicated toll-free automated phone line to pay your bill over the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- View your current and previous billing information online.
- Register and setup an account in the Customer Portal to save all of your payment information so you don’t have to enter the account number, etc. every time.
Note: Effective April 25, 2022 March 25, 2022, there will be a convenience fee added to all payments made by credit or debit card. This will be for all debit/credit card payments made in City Hall, online, or over the phone. The fee for Elkton Utilities payments will be $2.25 per debit/credit card transaction.
Free payment options:
- You can still sign up at City Hall for automatic bank draft payments. Complete the Preauthorized Payments Agreement and your Elkton Utilities payment will be automatically drafted from your checking or savings account on the 5th of each month.
- Through the new online Customer Portal or dedicated phone payment line, you can pay by e-check at no cost.
- You will still be able to pay by cash or check in City Hall or drop off a check payment in the drop box in the City Hall foyer.
City of Elkton Payments
The new upgrade will also allow payment of city property taxes, fire department memberships, and more through the city’s website. Due to VISA rules, there is a different fee for city government payments. Effective April 25, 2022 March 25, 2022, there will be a convenience fee of 2.75% plus $0.25 added to all payments made by credit or debit card. However, you will also be able to pay by e-check online at no cost.
Please note that the convenience fee covers the cost the credit card companies charge to process a debit/credit card payment and will go directly to the credit card company, not to the city.
