Get your free Todd County Solar Eclipse Glasses! On Monday, August 21st, at about 1:25 pm, Elkton will be in the path of the Total Solar Eclipse. If you want to watch the event, you will need special certified eclipse viewing glasses.
The Todd County Community Alliance is offering free certified eclipse viewing glasses that will be available in the Historic Todd County Courthouse Welcome Center located at 1 Public Square in Elkton. Get your free glasses while they last beginning Wednesday, August 9th. Regular Welcome Center hours are Wed, Thurs and Fri from 10 am to 5 pm. Open late on Thursday’s for Elkton Bike Night. Just for the Eclipse Weekend, the Center will also be open Saturday, August 19th, 10 am to 5 pm; Sunday, August 20th from 2 pm to 6 pm; and, Monday, August 21st, 10 am to 5 pm.
