PROPERTY FOR SALE
204 SOUTH PERRY STREET
The City of Elkton, Kentucky has declared the property located at 204 South Perry Street, Elkton, Kentucky surplus property and will offer it for sale under sealed bid. The city desires to see housing built on this property. The property is approximately 0.65 acres (+or-) with an existing metal garage building. The sale of the property will come with conditions from the city requiring the purchaser to remove the garage building within six months and the building of houses to begin within eighteen months of the purchase. Once a bid is accepted by the city, payment in full shall be submitted to the City by cashier’s check or certified check within 30 days of acceptance of the bid. Deed to the property will then be transferred to the winning bidder by the City.
Bid Form should be placed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Sealed Bid South Perry Street Property” and should be mailed or presented to the Elkton City Clerk at Elkton City Hall, 71 Public Square, PO Box 578, Elkton, KY 42220 between the office hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm by Friday, February 28, 2020 at 10:00 AM local time. Bids will then be presented to the Elkton City Council for review. The City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received, where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the city.
