Kentucky Broadband Initiative

The Kentucky Broadband Initiative is a network of public and private partners working to expand internet access and build a stronger digital infrastructure in urban and rural communities across the commonwealth. We are committed to the betterment of Kentucky’s workforce and public education system by way of locally-sourced data and cooperative decision-making. We believe that every home and business in Kentucky should have access to affordable, adequate, and reliable internet access in order to fully participate in a digital economy and society.

The Kentucky Broadband Initiative has designed a test of download speeds across the state of Kentucky linked at the website below. From this web site we can collect data about your broadband speed and create a map for your community that will help your community in efforts to get grants and other support to improve broadband for your community. Information from this test will improve our ability to secure funding for improved Broadband. The initiative is asking all citizens to complete the speed test at the link listed below.
