PROCLAMATION
HONORING MS. DOROTHY JEAN BUTLER
ON THE OCCASION OF HER
100TH BIRTHDAY
WHEREAS, Ms. Dorothy Jean Butler, a longtime resident of the city of Elkton, Kentucky, is celebrating her 100th birthday on May 20, 2021, and
WHEREAS, she has been a lifelong member of the Christian Church of Elkton, where she played the organ for many years and she also played piano at Gill Chapel Presbyterian Church into her 90’s, and
WHEREAS she used her talent to play for many weddings and many funerals and is well known as a great seamstress, and
WHEREAS, on behalf of the citizens of Elkton, I, Arthur Green, Mayor of Elkton, take great pleasure in honoring and celebrating the occasion of Ms. Butler’s birthday.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Arthur Green, Mayor of Elkton, do hereby proclaim May 20, 2021 as
Ms. DOROTHY JEAN BUTLER DAY
in the city of Elkton, Kentucky and request all citizens to respect and honor this remarkable woman.
