Elkton-Todd County Bicentennial Christmas Parade

The annual Christmas Parade in Elkton, Kentucky will have a new theme this year to celebrate the Elkton and Todd County Bicentennial in 2020. The “Elkton-Todd County Bicentennial Christmas Parade” will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, in Elkton.

The parade will leave Todd County Central High School at 806 South Main Street at 5 PM and head north towards Public Square, exiting the Square on West Main Street and ending at the intersection of Streets Avenue where floats will disperse. Please note traffic will be blocked to Public Square starting around 4:30 PM until the parade is over.

The parade will feature floats and entries from individuals, local businesses, organizations, schools, and churches. Participants are encouraged to decorate their float or entry with a historical bicentennial theme celebrating Elkton and/or Todd County’s past from the years 1820 through 2020. For those that choose to have a historical bicentennial-themed entry, there will be awards given recognizing the Most Creative Entry and Most Historical Entry.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the parade organizers ask that everyone attending the ceremony observe recommended social distancing guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to wear a face covering while attending the event. Also, there will not be a public event held at the Milliken Memorial Community House after the parade. However, you are encouraged to visit our local businesses who will be having special sales and other events both before and after the parade.

If you would like to participate in the parade, please visit the Christmas Parade Page to print an application or submit your entry online!
