The City of Elkton, Kentucky is now accepting sealed bids for the sale of an approximate 3.28-acre parcel of unimproved real property located within the bounds of Parcel ID# E-01-08-29, which is located near 601 S. Main Street in Elkton. Interested bidders shall submit with their bid amount, for consideration by the City, a description of the bidder’s projected use of the property, including but not limited to, any proposed zoning classification change, projected occupancy of the property, and a schematic drawing of the intended development of the property. The successful bid may be awarded based upon the City’s determination of the best utilization of the property along with consideration of the bid amount. The successful bidder shall be required to enter into a binding land sale contract with bidder’s projected use of the property included in the terms thereof.
Bids shall be sealed in an envelope clearly labeled with “SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY BID” and mailed or hand delivered to City of Elkton, City Hall, 71 Public Square, PO Box 578, Elkton, KY 42220. No facsimile bids will be accepted. Bids will be accepted until Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Bids will be opened on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. for consideration by the Elkton City Council at its regular meeting on February 10th.
The City of Elkton reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, and to waive any technicality or informality in bidding or bids received, where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the city.
